Theory: a non-power team will be better than any Pac-12 team

Exactly one Pac-12 team is definitely better than any G5 teams this year, and as that team's fans will remind you online every moment of every day: Utah is in a power conference.

Oregon or Utah would probably win the AAC. Probably.

The Pac-12 suffered seven losses to non-powers in OOC games, and now it all comes down to this: will the AAC champ or Appalachian State end up better than Oregon or Utah?

Well, we know certain non-power teams are better than Stanford, USC, Colorado, Oregon State, Arizona, and UCLA, at least.

The Mountain West's Hawaii leads the Pac-12 standings at 2-0, and betting favorite Washington has already lost at home.

Washington and Utah exist, so the Pac-12 is fine! Threats in this made-up race include Boise State (1-0 vs. Power 5), Cincinnati (1-0 vs. Pac-12), UCF, zombie North Dakota State, and so on. Concerns include Oregon missing a chance at a big cross-country win, Stanford again earning negative style points, and USC's QB depth amid a brutal schedule stretch.
